About Mt. Hope United Methodist Church

In the ridgetop country a few miles from the Johnstown Airport and Galleria districts, Mt. Hope Church has been an anchor of its community for generations.
The heart of our mission is to know and love Jesus, to grow and be whole in his love with everyone around us.
United in vision and peace-loving in tone, our joy is

-to know Jesus as our Lord and Redeemer,
-to learn his teachings,
-to pass them on in word and deed,
-to nurture people of all ages as disciples, and
-to engage in actions of compassion and encouragement among anyone we can.

Our children’s program is small but strong. Our “regulars” seem to know the stories of the Bible well, in both content and spirit. Our youth are grounded and happy to work and play together in the Lord. Our adults find practical ways to show faith and harmony in worship and projects together.
We are not on the thoroughfares of town, but we are not hard to find. And we love to share Christ with new people.
Come join us. Together we can know Jesus, be raised, and be whole.
